Aqua Planet Water Park

Background

Aqua Planet is known to be the biggest water park in the Philippines which is located at Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone in the province of Pampanga. It offers tourists a swimming ride, outdoor food court, stalls, a commemorative shop, elegant shower rooms, grand facilities, and water attractions for every age. Inside the water park, there is a separate waterslide and wave pool which tourists can choose from.

Aqua Planet has a total of thirty-eight slides and attractions which are surrounded by lush vegetation. It is believed to be the most modern water park in the Philippines. It is only fifty minutes away from Subic Bay via Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and fifteen minutes away from Clark International Airport and SM City Clark. In addition, it is only a two hours and thirty minutes drive from Metro Manila. Aqua Planet has a size of ten hectares or 100,000 square meters that can accommodate five thousand tourists daily.

The reason it’s called Aqua Planet because it was originated from ancient Pampanga mythology. The story goes like this, once upon a time the affectionate water god name Halia and the courageous fire god name Pinatubo loved each other. As time goes by they were separated by the god of heaven named Zeus. Pinatubo was sent to the mortal world and for this reason, it turned him into a volcano. On the other hand, Halia beseeches Zeus to turn her into a charming water planet so she could be with Pinatubo. The god of heaven accepted her request and the water planet was named Halia Aqua Planet. Presently, people living in Angeles City Pampanga deeply think whenever it rains in their region, the attractive water god Halia misses the courageous fire god Pinatubo.

According to its past history, Aqua Planet was established by Bb International Leisure And Resort Development Corporation which is a Filipino-Taiwanese business firm. The water park cost 2.5 billion pesos and it was planned by Taiwanese engineers and architects. The main attraction was designed by Aquatic Development Group for a brand new state-of-the-art water park in the Philippines with a large size wave pool.

Aqua Planet water park became up and running in November 2017. Months later Aqua Planet was opened to the public in the year 2018. In June 2018,  Aqua Planet was the first establishment in the Philippines to associate the child swimming safety program which is designed to teach youngsters to properly swim. Presently, Aqua Planet is an ultimate getaway destination for water lovers where visitors can have a great day and relaxing experience. So what are you waiting for? Visit Aqua Planet now to get wet and have a memorable experience.

Attractions in Aqua Planet

Aqua Loop – is generally considered to be the most intense ride in the biggest water theme park in the Philippines. Guests who are standing vertically in a tube flaps instantly open dropping their feet first into a thrilling 328 feet free fall that passes through into a 360-degree circuit. Also, guests will need to hold on to their pants while having fun and screaming for their dear life while sliding into a standing position. Without a doubt, this is one of the most unforgettable water experiences in Aqua Planet. The minimum height requirement for this attraction is five feet or 1.5 meters high.

Boogie Bay – is a place where guests and swimmers could find themselves in three meters of deep water. Guest can try their hand at body surfing and ride the waves with the help of a boogie wave board and floaters in a 16145 square feet wave pool. Moreover, the visitors will experience the beach vibe without the brimming sun and annoying sand under their feet. Let the water take you and your anxiety away as you favor enjoyable and exhilaration that goes beyond your fantasy.

Wave Pool – a pool of waves that has a total area of 37673 square feet of water space where kids, adults, groups of friends, and families can enjoy catching the artificial wave. Visitors can have body surf and let the artificial wave crash and blow against their bodies. Also, there is a six-hundred-inch LED (light-emitting diodes) screen playing video where visitors can enjoy the stunning effects while getting wet. There are eight different kinds of extensive waves in the wave pool that are propagated for the amusement and pleasure of all visitors.

Sky Shuttle – is very similar to the water park version of the pirate ship swinging ride at many entertainment parks in the world. The large scoop-style water bowl burst the guest upward into space in a precipitous slide leaving him with the feeling of weightlessness on the slide going back down with raging waters. From my point of view, I tried the Sky Shuttle and I must say going down is mandatory. So if you’re up for a challenge then this galvanic ride is for you.

Aqua Planet

Flow Rider –  is very akin to surfing in a pool and gliding on a simulated never-ending river of fast-moving water. The bodyboard surfing wallop experience on a ceaselessly flowing sheet of water coming from the high volume of Aqua Planet water pumps allows riders to undergo surfing waves in a regulated atmosphere. Visitors will need to decide to sit down or stand and make moves while the ongoing brook of significant water races each person.

Wave River – has a total distance of 1351 feet which will tour the tourist around the world-class water theme park. The relaxed guest will ride a ring-shaped floater and they will let the flow of the river direct them to their destination.

Hurricane Slide –  is composed of four slides where a guest needs to prepare for several twists and turns. In my opinion, it is one of the most exciting rides to try on Aqua Planet. Guest will get tossed around and will get dizzy for some time as if they were in a hurricane. Nevertheless, they have the option to choose whether it will be a slow slope or a fast slope. In addition, the spiral slides add more additional forces. The width of the slide allows carrying a double raft as you pass through the eye of the hurricane which is so fascinating and exhilarating at the same time. The four water slides that empty into a common pool allow for some rivalrous fun. So call your friend and slide away. Without a doubt, I am certain that you will enjoy whatever slope you will wish to try.

Tornado – this is a place where guests will experience a tornado up close in a forty-five-degree drop of thrilling sensation. This ride is the closest thing to being fluttered away into the huge funnel of an entwining and turning tornado. Guests will gain some pace in the passage tube as they put down into the funnel where they will experience forty-five-degree drops in a colossal funnel-shaped water aspect. Nevertheless, guests will don’t worry because it’s not a real tornado. In my experience, this is the most frightening ride for me. I am screaming at the loudest volume I have ever made because of the tornado slide. The vast slide at the beginning of the ride brings me to a funnel that will slide me from side to side until it drops me into the nearest pool.

Octopus Racers – is a healthy competitive ride that is composed of six long side-by-side race track tubes that take various routes from sparkling slides starting with a caged circuit through this water aspect. Racing with other friends or groups, guests will never know who will come out victorious at the final moment when all the tubes empty out in a regular pool together. In my observation, anyone who reaches the bottom parts wins the competitive ride.

Kiddie Zone
Kiddie Zone
Aqua Planet

Kiddie Zone – this is the part of themed pools where kids can love the shallow water parts together with the juxtaposed batch of small slides and spirals with an appealing bundle of sprinklers. Also, the energetic bright-colored large characters can be seen such as the small turtles, glowing mushrooms, figs, sunny flowers, and morning frame. Kids can also run into a cordial alligator or charming siren. Moreover, they can play and interact with other children in vivid surroundings.

This section is made up of three areas namely a fantasy-themed pool, a water playground, and a small wave pool which is very attractive to the human eye. All in all, youngsters will surely enjoy splashing and playing around in Aqua Planet. The water theme park is in good order and very unblemished with companionable staff. In my perspective, the Aqua Planet is way better, way bigger, and cleaner with better slides and attractions compared to Splash Island which is located in Laguna. Undoubtedly, all slide in world-class Aqua Planet is a must-try, especially for adventurous people because swimming there is really good.
