My trip to El Patio Razon

In the past days, I was searching on the internet where I can find a day tour that has a side trip going to El Patio Razon. I’ve never been to Bali, Indonesia and I want to experience how it feels.  Luckily one day I found one. I immediately joined an organized tour going to El Patio Razon without hesitation.

It was Friday morning when our group arrived at Treasure Mountain. We stayed there for nearly five hours. After that, we hiked for thirty minutes on a paved road going to El Patio Razon. We reached our side trip destination at 10:30 am.

Our group rested a little bit on the registration site and we paid the registration fee. Then after resting, we were taken to our cottage. I was about to order food at the store when some of the members of the group opened their food for lunch. They offered me their food and since I didn’t bring any packed lunch I accepted it. I am thankful to them for a delightful lunch.

After our lunch and long rest at the cottage, we explored El Patio Razon. We take numerous pictures at the Hobbit House, Beehive Nest, Bali Nest, Stairway to Heaven, and Kawa Bath.  All the attractions are picturesque and Instagrammable.

For instance, the Hobbit House has a good exterior design and is well preserved just like in the movie set, the Beehive Nest is perfect for taking pictures, the Stairway to Heaven for enjoying a slice of heaven and Kawa Bath for Bali-inspired photos. However, when our group went to Kawa Bath place, we didn’t see anyone bathing, maybe because the sun was already high at that time and the weather was too hot. As a result, we didn’t take the Kawa Bath because it’s too exposed already and we didn’t have enough budget. We only snap photos of Kawa Bath.

Also, I noticed that the place isn’t that wide and spacious but we take our time to appreciate and savor the great views of the Sierra Madre mountain range. On the other hand, I noticed that their staff is very accommodating. We roamed around the greenery and mini flower farm of El Patio Razon and saw some lovely cats and dogs. It is a pet-friendly place. Also, we saw several couples taking pictures of the great views. While walking I noticed that the resort has more room for improvements like restroom renovation and their available food choice at the cafe.

We can also see the summit of Mt. Kulis and other mountains from a distance which is truly mesmerizing. Moreover, according to our tour guide, the Kawa Bath (giant cooking pot) is very similar to the one found in Antique province. Brand new and eye-catching flowers float on top of the hot Kawa Bath. The hot Kawa Bath can remove toxins from the body and lower the stress level while enjoying the great and refreshing mountain views.

The water in the Kawa Bath would tardily be heated so that someone feels convenient and admires the warm water. Kawa Bath is definitely worth the try. It is one of the best spots to relax and unwind during weekdays or weekends. Also, he said to us that we can experience the Night sky cinema and overnight camping in El Patio Razon if we stay overnight.

However, we stayed at the resort for only three hours because we needed to go back to Manila on the same day and it’s only our side trip. Nevertheless, our group experiences the Bali of Tanay which is an amazing feeling.

Despite the fact that hot Kawa Bath is the most attractive spot in El Patio Razon and we didn’t experience the immersion in warm water with leaves and petals, roaming around the resort, we found out that there are plenty of beautiful Bali-inspired spots to take pictures and to refresh. In general, I highly recommend El Patio Razon as a cool getaway for the tourist looking for a quick relaxing vacation and to feel the fresh cold air. It’s worth the visit.

After staying for nearly four hours in the resort, we go to our next side trip which is Lambingan Hills. We depart from Lambingan Hills around 5 pm. After nearly two hours of land travel with good old song music, we arrived in Manila at 7:10 pm safe and sound. Thanks be to God for another fulfilling experience in Rizal province. I will never forget this trip.

On the whole, my trip to El Patio Razon sums up this quote: “The little things make a big difference.”
